Located right here in Northern Virginia, River-Sea is a family-owned, bean-to-bar chocolate maker creating small-batch, single-origin artisan chocolates. Their approach to chocolate is thoughtful from beginning to end, from sourcing cacao directly from growers to roasting and crafting the chocolate in their own facility.
For us, partnering with a local chocolate maker was an easy choice.
Why River-Sea?
When we decided to add chocolates to our gift offerings, we didn’t want to reach for the usual box of mass produced candy.
We wanted something that felt like Fantasy Florist. Thoughtful, beautiful, local, and made with intention.
That’s exactly what we found in River-Sea.
We were able to visit their bean-to-bar factory in Chantilly, meet the people behind the chocolate, and taste their small-batch creations for ourselves. What started as a search for a better chocolate option became a partnership we’re genuinely proud of.
River-Sea's chocolate is made with simple ingredients and small-batch roasting, with a focus on bold flavor and ethically sourced cacao. They also prioritize sustainability, including working directly with cacao growers and using wind-powered sailing ships to transport cacao whenever possible.
It’s the kind of local partnership we love being able to share with our customers.

River-Sea is a Northern Virginia business with locations in Chantilly and Reston, and their Chantilly shop is just minutes from us. Their chocolate is made locally, while their sourcing practices connect the finished product to cacao growers and ecosystems much farther away.
Even better, our original partnership with River-Sea was inspired in part by a shared commitment to sustainability and community. River-Sea also supports the Amazon River cleanup project Projeto SUPaneiro, connecting their work in chocolate with environmental stewardship.
