Spring Is Right Around the Corner 🌷

There’s something about spring that just feels hopeful. The days get a little longer, the light gets a little softer, and suddenly, flowers start showing off again.

As a retail florist, this is one of our favorite seasons. Spring flowers have personality. They’re delicate but bold. Playful but romantic. And the best part? They start arriving before it technically feels like spring outside.

If you’re ready to celebrate the season (even if there’s still a chill in the air), here’s what you can expect to see blooming in March, April, and May — and how their availability shifts as we move through the season.

🌸 March Flowers: The Early Teasers

March is when we start to see the first true signs of spring in the floral world. These blooms feel fresh, airy, and full of anticipation.

Common March Availability:

  • Tulips

  • Daffodils

  • Hyacinth

  • Anemones

  • Ranunculus

  • Hellebore

March flowers are perfect for brightening up winter-weary homes, celebrating early spring birthdays, or simply saying, “warmer days are coming.”

🌷 April Flowers: Spring in Full Swing

April is when spring truly stretches its arms wide. The selection expands, the color palettes soften, and designs feel lush and abundant.

Peak April Availability:

  • Tulips

  • Anemones

  • Stock

  • Sweet Peas

  • Iris

  • Early Peonies (limited, but they begin!)

April is ideal for Easter arrangements, spring gatherings, baby showers, and those “just because” bouquets that celebrate sunshine and fresh starts.

🌼 May Flowers: The Showstoppers

May is when spring truly shines. This is the month florists (and flower lovers) wait for all year.

Prime May Availability:

  • Peonies – The queens of spring

  • Garden Roses

  • Lilacs (very limited season!)

A Quick Note on Availability

Spring flowers are seasonal by nature, and that’s part of their magic. Some varieties have very short windows (looking at you, lilacs and sweet peas), while others like tulips and ranunculus span multiple months.

Availability can shift slightly depending on weather patterns and growers, but this is generally what we see each year.

If there’s a specific bloom you’ve been dreaming about, it’s always best to order early or chat with us about timing. We’re happy to guide you toward what’s at its peak.

Why We Love Designing with Spring Flowers

Spring designs feel lighter. Airier. More joyful.

You’ll see softer color palettes: blush, butter yellow, lavender, peach, mixed with fresh greens and unexpected texture. These flowers practically design themselves, and they bring an effortless elegance to any space.

Whether you’re celebrating something special or just ready to welcome the season into your home, spring is the perfect time to lean into florals.

Spring is coming... and we’re ready for it! 🌸

Stop by, give us a call, or let us surprise you with something seasonal and beautiful.
